007 First Light Switch 2 Version Delayed to March 2027

IO Interactive has delayed the Nintendo Switch 2 version of its James Bond game 007 First Light to March 2027, citing a need for additional performance polishing. The developer announced the new release window in a statement posted to social media on September 15, 2026. The delay means Switch 2 players will face a gap of nearly a year between the game's launch on other platforms and its arrival on Nintendo's console. 007 First Light was released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on May 27, 2026. The Switch 2 version was originally planned for a simultaneous launch but was pushed back to a summer 2026 window before this latest postponement. In its announcement, IO Interactive stated, "To ensure we deliver the quality of experience players expect, we have made the decision to delay the release to March 2027, with the exact date to be communicated later. This additional time will go toward polishing the Nintendo Switch 2 performance of the game." The studio noted that feedback from a playable demo shown at Gamescom in August was positive, and that the same demo will be available at the Tokyo Game Show from September 17 to 21, 2026.
