Zelenskyy says no win-win in war, claims Putin wants all of Ukraine

In the interview with CBC News, Zelenskyy said the staggering scale of human losses means the conflict has moved beyond the possibility of a mutually beneficial victory. He argued that the most important victory would be to end the war quickly and protect human lives, rather than for either side to claim a traditional win. "There is no win-win in this war," Zelenskyy said, emphasizing that the situation ceased to be mutually beneficial from the first day of the full-scale invasion. Zelenskyy rejected the notion that Moscow would be satisfied with annexing only specific territories. He stated that the issue is not simply about kilometers of land, but that Putin fundamentally needs Ukraine to be a part of Russia.
