Zampa Breaks Warne Record as Australia Clinches Series

Adam Zampa became the fastest Australian spinner to reach 200 ODI wickets during Australia's series-clinching victory against Zimbabwe in Harare on Friday. The leg-spinner achieved the milestone in his 123rd match, surpassing the record previously held by Shane Warne, who took 125 matches to reach the same landmark. Zampa claimed his 200th wicket by dismissing Zimbabwe opener Innocent Kaia, who was bowled for 34. The dismissal came in the 24th over when Kaia attempted to drive a googly but was beaten, with the ball striking the leg stump. Zampa finished the match with figures of 2 for 62 from nine overs, also removing Craig Ervine. The achievement places Zampa as the third-fastest spinner in world cricket to reach 200 ODI wickets, behind Pakistan's Saqlain Mushtaq (104 matches) and Afghanistan's Rashid Khan (115 matches). He is the seventh Australian bowler overall to reach the milestone, joining a list led by Glenn McGrath's 380 wickets. Australia won the second ODI by 84 runs after posting a total of 356 for 6, securing an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.
