Yaya Mayweather Ordered to Pay Over $50M in Stabbing Lawsuit

A Texas judge has ordered Iyanna "Yaya" Mayweather to pay more than $50 million in damages to Lapattra Jacobs for a 2020 stabbing incident. The civil judgment, signed in May 2026 and made public in September, concludes a multi-year legal saga stemming from the violent altercation. The total award of $50,105,000 includes $40,105,000 in compensatory damages and $10 million in exemplary damages. The compensatory portion is divided into $8 million for past damages and $32 million for future damages, covering medical expenses, pain and suffering, physical impairment, lost earning capacity, and disfigurement. The court found Mayweather 100% responsible for the attack and awarded the exemplary damages because her conduct constituted aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and involved an extreme degree of risk. The underlying incident occurred on April 3, 2020, at a residence in the Houston area associated with rapper NBA YoungBoy. According to court records, Mayweather arrived at the home and confronted Jacobs, who also has a child with the rapper.
