XRPL Cleanup Amendment Nears Activation, Lending Awaits Votes

XRP Ledger validators have reached the required support threshold for fixCleanup3_4_0, a maintenance amendment projected to activate around 09:34 UTC on October 23 if backing holds. The separate amendments needed for the network’s proposed lending system remain below their approval threshold, so the cleanup vote does not authorize lending to launch. An October 19 dashboard snapshot showed 29 validators supporting the cleanup amendment, the minimum reported number needed to meet the network’s more-than-80% requirement. XRPL’s amendment rules require that support to remain in place for two consecutive weeks. If support falls below the threshold before the period ends, the approval period restarts. The projected activation time is therefore conditional, not confirmation that the changes have taken effect.
