Xiaomi releases MiMo-V2.6 models and training materials

Xiaomi has released its MiMo-V2.6 artificial intelligence model family, publishing downloadable weights for its Pro and Flash models alongside reinforcement-learning materials intended to let developers examine and build on the training system. Artificial Analysis scores MiMo-V2.6Pro at about 46 on its Intelligence Index, placing it at the top of the open-weight models in the firm’s comparison, though not ahead of all AI models. The release also includes a smaller, 9-billion-parameter model described as a starting point for further agentic reinforcement-learning research. Xiaomi says the Pro and Flash models accept text, images, video and audio, and have context windows of up to 1 million tokens. The models’ weights and related materials are available for download; the company has also released a training framework and more than 7,000 task environments, according to the release materials. Xiaomi attributes the models’ improvements to a large reinforcement-learning run. The company says Pro and Flash each completed 30 training steps across roughly 750,000 trajectories in under six days, at costs of about $2.62 million and $850,000, respectively.
