Wrestler Andy Williams Dies After Match Collapse

Published 6 September 2026

Andy Williams, a professional wrestler known as The Butcher and a founding guitarist of the metalcore band Every Time I Die, died on September 5, 2026, after collapsing during a tag team match in Millvale, Pennsylvania. He was 48 years old. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed his death on the morning of September 6, following a medical emergency at Mr. Smalls Theatre. Williams was competing in a tag team match for the promotion Enjoy Wrestling when the incident occurred. He was teaming with his partner, The Blade, against the team TME for the Enjoy Wrestling Tag Team Championship. According to eyewitness accounts, Williams' legs buckled near the end of the match, and he fell to the floor. His partner attempted to help him, but Williams collapsed again and lost consciousness. Medical staff on site immediately administered CPR and used an automated external defibrillator before he was transported to Allegheny General Hospital. Enjoy Wrestling issued a statement confirming the collapse and the immediate medical response. The promotion canceled the remainder of the event, which was part of its "Five Years" anniversary weekend, and sent attendees home.
