Woman sentenced for false assault claims

A woman has been sentenced to seven and a half years in prison for fabricating multiple rape and sexual assault allegations against several men over a seven-year period. Khloe Simmonds, 26, was found responsible for a significant portion of assault claims in her area during the height of her offending. Harrow Crown Court heard that Simmonds made false accusations between July 2018 and January 2026, leading to the arrest and detention of multiple innocent men. At the peak of these false claims, Simmonds accounted for 2.5% of all assault and serious sexual assault allegations in Harrow. Her actions resulted in hundreds of hours of police time being diverted from genuine cases. His Honour Judge John Lodge stated that Simmonds' conduct represented a "sustained pattern of conduct, not isolated incidents." The judge emphasized the impact on resources that should have been available to investigate cases involving actual victims of serious crime. Simmonds pleaded guilty to eight counts of offending the course of justice. Prosecutor Ben Temple detailed several instances of fabricated allegations. In the summer of 2018, Simmonds claimed an Afghan national had raped her at knifepoint.
