Winchester man jailed for stalking Billie Piper

Published 25 August 2026

A 49-year-old man from Winchester, Hampshire, has been sentenced to 12 months in prison for repeatedly breaching a court order designed to protect actress Billie Piper from his obsessive and unwanted contact. Philip Jerome was jailed at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on August 25, 2026, after pleading guilty to four counts of breaching a stalking prevention order. The court heard that Jerome had been subject to the order since July 21, 2022, due to his sustained campaign of harassment against the former Doctor Who star. The breaches occurred in December 2025, when police examined his devices on December 27 and discovered four images of Piper saved on his phone.
