Vitruvias Therapeutics has initiated a nationwide recall of a specific lot of thyroid medication after testing confirmed the tablets may contain more active hormone than labeled, posing a risk of hyperthyroidism to patients. Of the 3,655 units released from this lot, 1,955 were sold and distributed to direct accounts across the country between January 31, 2025, and September 30, 2025. The product has an expiration date of September 30, 2026, meaning affected bottles may still be in use.
