Vir Das earns third International Emmy nomination

Vir Das’s Netflix comedy special Fool Volume has been nominated for the Comedy award at the 2026 International Emmy Awards, marking his third nomination. The comedian is also scheduled to bring his I Say We Run tour to Radio City Music Hall in New York on January 30, 2027, as part of a wider international itinerary. The International Emmy nominations were announced September 23. Fool Volume will compete against División Palermo Season 2, Man vs Baby and Old Dog, New Tricks. Winners are scheduled to be announced at the 54th International Emmy Awards in New York on November 23, 2026. The nomination does not determine the category’s winner. The published nominees list includes another Indian entry: SonyLIV’s Real Kashmir Football Club, nominated in the Drama Series category. The list names 64 nominees across 16 categories, representing 22 countries. The two nominations place India in both comedy and drama categories this year. Das was previously nominated in 2021 for Vir Das: For India and won the Comedy award in 2023 for Vir Das: Landing. He also hosted the International Emmy ceremony in 2024.
