At least four people, including a child, were killed and dozens wounded when a U.S. airstrike hit a home hosting a wedding celebration in southern Iran on Tuesday, according to Iranian officials. The incident occurred amid a significant escalation in hostilities between the United States and Iran, with both nations trading strikes across the region. The strike targeted a residence in Kuhestak, within Sirik County of Hormozgan province, near the strategic Strait of Hormuz. Iranian state television and semiofficial news agencies reported the casualties, with some officials stating the death toll could rise due to the severity of injuries.
