Ukraine Files FIA Ethics Complaint Against Russian Motorsport Body

The Ukrainian Automobile Federation has filed a formal complaint with the FIA ethics committee, seeking an urgent investigation into the Russian Automobile Federation for alleged violations of the governing body's statutes. The complaint, submitted on August 28, follows the FIA's recent decision to lift restrictions on Russian and Belarusian competitors. In its filing, the Ukrainian federation alleges that the Russian Automobile Federation operates offices in Crimea, Sevastopol, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions, which are recognized as Ukrainian territory by the United Nations. The complaint argues this constitutes a breach of FIA rules, specifically Article 3.
