UEFA Women's CL League Phase Draw Held
The draw for the 2026-27 UEFA Women's Champions League league phase took place on Friday, September 4, 2026, setting the stage for a competitive group of matches that will begin later this month. Reigning champions FC Barcelona will face Arsenal in a significant early fixture, while Chelsea and Manchester City have also been handed challenging schedules. The league phase, now in its second year of implementation, will feature 18 teams competing in six matches each, three at home and three away. This round of competition is scheduled to run from September 22 to December 16, 2026. Following the league phase, a knockout playoffs round is slated for February 2027, preceding the quarterfinals in March and April, and the semifinals in May. The final match of the tournament is scheduled to be held at the Stadion Narodowy in Warsaw on May 28, 29, or 30, 2027. Arsenal, who reached the semifinals last season, will face a demanding path, including a matchup against defending champions Barcelona. Their other opponents in the league phase include OL Lyonnes, Benfica, Paris FC, HB Koge, and Inter Milan.
