Two men died on Sunday afternoon after entering the sea to rescue two children who had gotten into difficulty at Seaton Carew beach in Hartlepool. The children were brought to safety and taken to a hospital for evaluation, but both men were pronounced dead shortly after being pulled from the water by lifeboat crews.
