Two Harvs Air pilots killed in Saskatchewan plane crash

Two pilots from a Manitoba-based flight school were killed when their small aircraft crashed near Kisbey, Saskatchewan, on Friday evening. The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) has dispatched a team to investigate the cause of the fatal accident. The pilots were flying a Cessna 172 for Harvs Air on a night flight from Regina to Steinbach, Manitoba. The aircraft did not arrive as scheduled, prompting a search. The plane and its two occupants were found later that evening near Kisbey, southeast of Regina. Adam Penner, president of Harvs Air, confirmed the deaths in a statement. "The entire Harvs Air family is shocked and saddened by this tragedy," he said. "Both pilots had close ties to their fellow students and instructors." The TSB confirmed the deployment of investigators to the site. Sophie Wistaff, a media relations representative for the TSB, stated there was a post-impact fire at the crash location. The board expects to release a preliminary summary of the investigation later this week. This incident marks the third crash involving Harvs Air in less than two years.
