Two dead after shooting at Citibank campus in Florida
A woman and the suspect died after a shooting at the Citibank campus in Brandon, Florida, on Wednesday, November 4, and four other people were treated for non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said. An armed Citibank security guard shot the suspect during an exchange of gunfire inside a cafeteria, Hillsborough County officials said. Chief Deputy Frank Losat said the suspect drove a sedan through a secured fence and crashed into an outdoor dining area where employees were having lunch. The suspect got out carrying a rifle, approached a woman and shot her, Losat said. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect then entered the campus cafeteria, where a security guard confronted him. The two exchanged gunfire, and the guard shot the suspect, who was taken to Tampa General Hospital and pronounced dead. Authorities have not released the names of the woman or the suspect. The four other injured people were taken to a hospital with injuries described by officials as non-life-threatening. Investigators had not established whether they were injured by the vehicle or gunfire. Authorities also had not determined a motive or whether the suspect knew the woman. About...
