Two Couples Eliminated on Dancing with the Stars

Jackson Olson and Emma Slater, and Tyler Cameron and Sharna Burgess, were eliminated from Dancing with the Stars after Horror Movie Night, in a double departure decided by scores and viewer votes combined across two episodes. The pairs left after the show added their Horror Movie Night results to the scores and votes from Dedication Night. No couple was eliminated the previous week, leaving 10 pairs in contention before the Halloween-themed episode. Eight remained after the results were announced. Harry Shum Jr. and Jenna Johnson earned the night’s top score, receiving 40 out of 40 for a contemporary routine inspired by the Saw films. It was the season’s first perfect score. The four judges each awarded the pair a 10, and their combined score across the two nights was 76 out of 80. Connor Wood and Rylee Arnold and Jenna Dewan and Val Chmerkovskiy each received 37 out of 40 for their routines. Wood and Arnold performed a contemporary dance inspired by Annabelle Creation, while Dewan and Chmerkovskiy danced an Argentine tango inspired by zombie films.
