Twitch and Amazon sued over unauthorized AI training of streamer content

Published 24 August 2026

A class action lawsuit has been filed against streaming platform Twitch and its parent company, Amazon, alleging the companies used content creators' streams without permission to train commercial artificial intelligence models. The complaint, lodged in the Northern District of California, accuses the tech giants of misappropriating streamer content for AI development, a practice plaintiffs say is unlawful and unfair to the creators who generate the material. The lawsuit was initiated by Connecticut-based streamer Warren Pandiscia, who has approximately 1,000 followers.
