Trump Warns of Strike on Iran's Pickaxe Mountain

U.S. President Donald Trump warned on Friday that the United States could strike Iran's heavily fortified underground facility known as Pickaxe Mountain "very soon," asserting that Tehran would not be allowed to possess a nuclear weapon. Speaking to reporters at the Oval Office, Trump defended the ongoing U.S. military campaign against Iran, stating its primary objective is to prevent Tehran from developing nuclear weapons. "We're in five months now. And you know what we did in five months? They're not going to have a nuclear weapon, that's what we did," Trump said. He added that U.S. intelligence is closely monitoring activity at Pickaxe Mountain and across Iran. "We know everybody that's moving at Pickaxe, we know everybody that's moving everywhere all over Iran. And if anything goes bad, we hit them, we hit them hard," he stated. Pickaxe Mountain is described as a heavily fortified underground complex located near Iran's damaged Natanz uranium enrichment facility. It is believed to contain two deeply buried tunnel systems, making it highly resistant to conventional aerial bombardment.
