Trump to defend Iran policy in UN General Assembly address

President Donald Trump is scheduled to address the United Nations General Assembly in New York on Tuesday, using the speech to defend his Iran war policy, highlight brokered peace deals, and press the case that Iran must never obtain a nuclear weapon, U.N. Ambassador Mike Waltz told reporters. Waltz said the remarks would also cover U.S. actions in the Western Hemisphere and progress on Trump's 20-point peace plan for Gaza. He is also expected to meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, British Prime Minister Andy Burnham, Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, and leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council to discuss the Iran war and recent attacks on Saudi Arabia.
