Trump says MAGA Inc. has $1B, plans $400M for midterms

President Donald Trump stated Friday that his MAGA Inc. super PAC holds nearly $1 billion and that he plans to allocate between $400 million and $500 million to support Republican candidates in the upcoming midterm elections. Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office, Trump asserted control over the funds, declaring, "This is my money that I control." The president's remarks come as Republicans express growing concern over the PAC's relatively low spending in key races ahead of the November elections. Federal Election Commission filings from July 31 showed MAGA Inc. with approximately $403 million on hand. Trump indicated that the full amount available might be higher than previously disclosed, with new financial disclosures not due until mid-September. Trump emphasized his intention to spend "whatever amount of money is necessary to try and help us," distinguishing the super PAC's funds from those of the Republican National Committee. He also suggested that some resources might be reserved for future political activities, including the 2028 election cycle.
