Trump renames AI super intelligence at UN assembly

President Donald Trump used his address to the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday to declare that the United States will officially refer to artificial intelligence as super intelligence, rejecting any international effort to regulate the technology while asserting American dominance over China. From this point forward, all United States government documents, and hopefully the world's, will be changed to use the term super instead of artificial, Trump told world leaders in New York. He argued that the word artificial makes the technology sound fake, adding that it is not fake and is actually amazing. The renaming announcement was paired with a broader rejection of international oversight. Trump said the United States totally rejects any attempt to construct a globalist scheme of control for artificial intelligence, and pledged to keep the country ahead of China in the technology race. He said the Justice Department would watch the technology closely while warning that fear-driven restrictions could stifle American innovation. Trump cited data center figures, saying China has 376 AI-supporting data centers compared with between 4,767 and 5,427 in the United States.
