Trump Accounts Report 1,156 Trades in July
A federal ethics filing posted September 22 shows President Donald Trump’s investment accounts recorded 1,156 securities transactions in July, with a combined reported value of about $79 million to $270 million. The filing also lists purchases of Strategy shares after earlier sales, but does not identify who made the investment decisions or establish whether the accounts still hold the shares. The July report covers purchases and sales made on Trump’s behalf. Because federal disclosure rules give broad transaction-value ranges rather than exact amounts, the total and individual trades cannot be determined precisely. Purchases accounted for at least $43.6 million and sales for at least $35.6 million, according to analysis of the filing. The Strategy entries show sales in June and on July 8, followed by purchases on July 24 and July 27. The filing values the July 24 purchase at $1,001 to $15,000 and the July 27 purchase at $50,001 to $100,000. It does not provide share counts or transaction prices. Strategy closed at $91.67 on July 24 and $167.33 on September 22, an increase of about 83% between those dates.
