Travis Kelce buys $5.35 million Ohio lakefront mansion

Published 2 September 2026

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce purchased a sprawling lakefront mansion in his native Ohio in March 2026, just four months before his high-profile wedding to singer Taylor Swift. The $5.35 million acquisition in the affluent village of Bratenahl, near Cleveland, adds a significant property to the couple's real estate holdings and provides a luxurious home base close to where Kelce grew up. According to property records, Kelce closed on the estate in March. The transaction came shortly before he and Swift married on July 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The timing underscores a period of major personal milestones for the NFL star, who has spent his entire career with the Chiefs but maintained strong ties to Northeast Ohio. The property, situated on 3.5 acres along Lake Erie, is a substantial residence. It encompasses approximately 21,000 square feet of living space, featuring eight bedrooms and 11 bathrooms. The mansion underwent extensive renovations prior to Kelce's purchase. The previous owner acquired the property for $1.95 million in 2023 and invested in a significant restoration before listing it for $6.99 million in 2024.
