Trailer Released for Palme d'Or Winner 'Fjord' Starring Stan and Reinsve

Neon has released the first official trailer for "Fjord," the new drama from acclaimed Romanian filmmaker Cristian Mungiu, which won the Palme d'Or at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival. The film, starring Sebastian Stan and Renate Reinsve, is scheduled to open in U.S. theaters on October 9, 2026. The trailer introduces the Gheorghiu family, who relocate from Bucharest to a remote Norwegian coastal village. Stan portrays Mihai Gheorghiu, a devout Romanian man, while Reinsve plays his Norwegian wife, Lisbet.
