Toyin Abraham Denies Role in APC Lagos Campaign Council
Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has publicly denied being a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Lagos State Campaign Council for the 2027 election, stating she was not consulted before her name was included on its list. Abraham's name appeared among 33 entertainers in the Entertainment and Creative Economy Directorate of the campaign council, which was unveiled on Thursday, September 18, 2026. The list was released by the Kadri Obafemi Hamzat Media Centre ahead of a formal inauguration scheduled for the same day at the APC Secretariat in Ikeja. Reacting to the news on her Instagram Story, Abraham urged the public to disregard the inclusion. "I'm not a member of any campaign council. I have said it recently. I am staying out of politics. Please disregard the supposed inclusion of my name in any campaign committee," she wrote. In a subsequent tweet, Abraham clarified that her decision was not influenced by social media criticism but was a personal choice. "Bro, I didn't do it because of any bully. I did it because it was the right thing to do.
