Tommy Hilfiger Returns to NYFW with Reinvented Polo Collection

Published 11 September 2026

Tommy Hilfiger returned to the official New York Fashion Week calendar on September 10, 2026, presenting his Spring 2027 collection at The Plaza Hotel. The show marked the designer's comeback to the event after a hiatus, with a collection centered on reinventing the brand's iconic polo shirt for a younger audience. The central theme of the collection was the transformation of the classic polo. Models wore rib-knit versions stretched into midi and maxi dresses, while other looks featured oversized polo shirts layered under blazers or worn as shirt-dresses. A standout look included a long-sleeved green-and-white striped polo dress with a thigh-high slit, paired with a Tommy baseball cap and chunky sneakers. The designer stated the goal was to rework the brand's classics while keeping its DNA intact, specifically aiming to appeal to Gen Z. Gigi Hadid opened the show in loose-fitting red pants, a tan suit jacket, and a navy blue bucket hat. The front row and cast included celebrities such as Kate Moss, Camila Cabello, JISOO, and NBA players Karl-Anthony Towns and Josh Hart.
