The break-in occurred at the shop on El Camino Real, marking an early setback for the collectibles business in the Bay Area. According to the Palo Alto Police Department, the burglary took place early on Saturday, August 22, 2026. Suspects gained entry by smashing a window and then broke open several display cases inside the store. They fled with approximately 60 trading cards valued at more than $12,000. As of this week, authorities have not apprehended any suspects, and the investigation remains ongoing.
