Three Teens Killed in Brooklyn Belt Parkway Crash

Published 26 August 2026

Three teenagers were killed and two others were injured in a high-speed collision on Brooklyn's Belt Parkway Tuesday night, according to the NYPD. The crash occurred at approximately 11:35 p.m. on August 25, 2026, near Exit 1 for 65th Street in Bay Ridge, when a black 2002 Cadillac Escalade carrying five teenage boys collided with a black 2024 Honda HRV traveling in the same eastbound direction. Emergency responders rushed the three most critically injured occupants of the Escalade, ages 16, 17, and 18, to NYU Langone-Brooklyn Hospital. Despite life-saving efforts, all three were later pronounced dead. Police have withheld their identities pending family notification. Two other teenagers from the same vehicle, a 16-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man, were transported to Maimonides Medical Center and were listed in stable condition with injuries expected to be survivable. The 46-year-old woman driving the Honda and her 44-year-old female passenger were also taken to NYU Langone-Brooklyn Hospital, where they were reported to be in stable condition. No arrests have been made, and the NYPD's Collision Investigation Squad is continuing to examine the circumstances of the crash.
