Thailand probes clinic after penis enlargement death

Thai authorities are investigating a Bangkok cosmetic clinic following the death of Nigerian-British businessman and social media influencer Igho Tiny Ubiribo, who died on March 6, 2026, less than a day after undergoing his fifth penis enlargement procedure. The 43-year-old received 40cc of filler during his final treatment on March 5, 2026. According to the clinic's management, a doctor had recommended dividing the procedure into two sessions, but Ubiribo requested it be done in a single session. He had been a regular patient at the facility since 2024, having undergone four previous penile enlargement treatments between 2024 and 2025. Ubiribo's death prompted Thailand's Ministry of Public Health to order an investigation into the clinic. Officials from the Department of Health Service Support (DHSS) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) inspected the facility on September 7, 2026, to assess its compliance with medical standards. The clinic's management stated that Ubiribo had signed consent forms before each procedure and had not reported any issues after previous treatments. They also claimed he received aftercare instructions and was followed up on by staff.
