A 24-year-old Thai footballer has died after being struck by lightning during a regional cup match in southern Thailand on Tuesday, August 4. The incident, which also injured at least nine other players and officials, occurred at Santiphap Stadium in the Sungai Kolok district of Narathiwat province.
