Telangana Railway Upgrade Pushes 40 Stations, High-Speed Corridors
Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy inspected ongoing redevelopment works at several railway stations in Telangana on Monday, highlighting a major push for infrastructure upgrades across the state. The minister reviewed progress at the Sri Bala Brahmeswara Jogulamba halt, Gadwal, Mahbubnagar, and Jadcherla stations, which are part of a broader initiative to modernize 40 railway stations under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. Reddy, who was accompanied by Mahbubnagar MP D.K. Aruna and local MLAs, stated that the four stations are being upgraded with a combined investment of 125.38 crore. He noted that works at Jogulamba Halt are nearly complete, while progress at the other three stations is swift.
