Telangana CM announces new education policy for future generations

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced a new state education policy designed to cater to Generation Z, Generation Alpha, and Generation Beta, framing it as essential for achieving the state's long-term economic vision. Speaking in the Legislative Assembly on Friday, September 11, 2026, Reddy, who holds the education portfolio, outlined the policy's focus on quality education, skill development, and entrepreneurship to prepare students for future challenges. The Chief Minister stated the policy would align with the National Education Policy and cover education, language, and communication skills from nursery through Class 12, as well as skill development for graduates and employment support for those in higher education. He emphasized that the initiative is central to the state's "Telangana Rising 2047" vision, which aims to transform Telangana into a $3 trillion economy and achieve a $1 trillion economy by 2034. "There is a lot of talk about Gen Z. The debate stopped at Gen Z. I did not stop there. Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Gen Beta. I am thinking of all of them to ensure that we reach our goals," Reddy said.
