Teen Allegedly Gang-Raped By Men Posing As Cops Near Delhi Temple

A 17-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by three men who posed as police officers in a park near the Kalkaji Temple in southeast Delhi on Monday evening, according to police. One suspect, identified as Asif, was arrested following a police encounter, while authorities continue to search for the other two men involved. The incident began when the victim and her 17-year-old male friend visited the Kalkaji Temple around 7 p.m. on Monday. After offering prayers, they went to a nearby park at approximately 7:30 p.m. Police said three men, aged between 25 and 30, approached them, claimed to be police officers, and began questioning the teenagers about their whereabouts. According to the police account, the men threatened the pair with legal consequences. One of the accused restrained the victim's friend, while the other two allegedly sexually assaulted the girl. The attackers then fled the scene. A PCR call reporting the assault was received at 8:45 p.m. Police arrived at the park, which connects the Kalkaji Mandir and ISKCON Temple, and immediately took the victim for a medical examination.
