Taco Bell launches churro ice cream taco with Salt & Straw
Taco Bell has launched a new Churro Ice Cream Taco at its restaurants nationwide, marking the second collaboration with ice cream maker Salt & Straw and offering a fresh take on the nostalgic dessert format. The limited-time item became available on September 1, 2026, priced at $3.99. The dessert features churro-flavored ice cream inside a crispy waffle cone shell, finished with puffed rice and a dark chocolate-flavored coating. Salt & Straw created the flavor exclusively for Taco Bell. The launch follows the success of the Tacolate, a cinnamon ancho ice cream taco the brands introduced in 2025, which sold out on its opening weekend and drew long lines at Salt & Straw scoop shops. "The Churro Ice Cream Taco builds on everything fans loved about the original collaboration, with a flavor that feels right at home on our menu," said Liz Matthews, Global Chief Food Innovation Officer at Taco Bell. Tyler Malek, cofounder and head ice cream maker at Salt & Straw, stated that the strong customer response to the Tacolate made it clear people wanted the item to stick around.
