Swift’s New Deluxe Album Coincides With Spotify Records

Taylor Swift released a deluxe edition of her album The Life of a Showgirl on September 25, adding four songs, as Spotify said the release coincided with single-day streaming records for Swift and the track “Patient Zero.” Spotify said Swift had the most streams by a female artist in a single day on its platform in 2026 so far, while “Patient Zero” had the most streams for a song by a female artist in a single day that year so far. The announcement identified September 25 as the date of both records. Spotify did not provide stream totals or comparison figures in the reports. The expanded album, titled The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore, adds “Patient Zero,” “Babylon,” “Pink Clouding” and “Cleveland!” to the original track list. Swift announced the release two days before it came out. She said the additional songs were written during a trip to Sweden with collaborators Max Martin and Shellback, after the group went to celebrate the original album’s success. Swift has described the conversation that sparked “Patient Zero.
