Swift Attends Chiefs Opener With Cruise After Wedding

Published 15 September 2026

Taylor Swift attended the Kansas City Chiefs' season opener on Monday night, marking her first public appearance at a game since her July 3 wedding to tight end Travis Kelce. The singer was seen in a private suite at Arrowhead Stadium alongside actor Tom Cruise as the Chiefs defeated the Denver Broncos 31-10. The ESPN Monday Night Football broadcast showed Swift and Cruise in conversation during the first quarter. Swift's father, Scott, and Kelce's mother, Donna, were also present in the suite. The game was Kelce's first regular-season appearance as a married man. Swift's presence at the game coincided with the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles, where her concert film, "Taylor Swift The Eras Tour The Final Show," had been nominated in five categories. She did not attend the ceremony in person. Instead, a prerecorded "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" sketch featuring Swift aired during the broadcast. In the segment, host Mariska Hargitay, in character as Detective Olivia Benson, investigated whether Swift would attend the Emmys. Swift appeared as a rookie officer, and her cat, also named Olivia Benson, made a cameo.
