Suaalii named on wing for Wallabies against South Africa

Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii will make his first Wallabies start on the wing when Australia face South Africa in Perth on Sunday, September 27, with coach Les Kiss naming the 23-year-old in a reshaped back three alongside Max Jorgensen and Tom Wright. The selection moves Suaalii from outside centre, where he has made his Wallabies starts, to the wing for the Test at Optus Stadium. Max Jorgensen is named on the other wing and Tom Wright at fullback. The change also adjusts the midfield: Hunter Paisami is listed at inside centre and Len Ikitau at outside centre. Ben Donaldson will start at fly-half alongside scrum-half Ryan Lonergan. Donaldson replaces Carter Gordon, who is out after fracturing his leg in Australia’s recent Test in Argentina, according to reports on the team selection. Brandon Paenga-Amosa and Allan Alaalatoa return to the starting front row; the rest of the forward pack is unchanged from Australia’s recent match against Argentina.
