Strive buys 1,375 BTC as SATA nears $1B

Published 9 September 2026

Strive, a digital asset treasury company, has significantly expanded its Bitcoin holdings, acquiring an additional 1,375 BTC for approximately $109 million. This latest purchase, made between August 31 and September 4, 2026, brings Strive's total Bitcoin reserves to 24,531 BTC, currently valued at around $1.96 billion. The company's cash and equivalents also increased to $202.6 million. Strive's aggressive Bitcoin accumulation strategy has propelled its common stock, ASST, to surge over 100% in the last 30 days and gain 56% year-to-date. Despite this impressive performance, ASST shares are trading approximately 90% below their all-time high reached about a year ago. The stock recently touched a year-to-date peak above $27, but saw a slight decline following the announcement as Bitcoin retreated from higher levels. This recent acquisition follows a substantial purchase of 1,800 BTC two weeks prior, which elevated Strive to the fifth position among publicly traded corporate Bitcoin holders. The company now ranks behind Strategy, Twenty One Capital, Metaplanet, and MARA Holdings.
