A severe thunderstorm that swept through Toronto on Wednesday evening caused significant damage to Rogers Stadium, casting doubt on the venue's ability to host a scheduled AC/DC concert later this month. The storm, which brought torrential rain, large hail, and destructive winds, left sections of the open-air stadium's seating area buckled and collapsed. Live Nation, the company that operates the 50,000-capacity seasonal venue, confirmed the damage in a statement. "As a result of yesterday's extreme weather, Rogers Stadium sustained significant damage," the statement read. "We are currently assessing the extent of the damage and will provide further information as it becomes available." The company emphasized that no employees or contractors were injured during the event. Video and photos from the aftermath show blue bleachers strewn across partially collapsed grandstands, with multiple sections of seats completely upended.
