Australia fast bowler Mitchell Starc has reached the No. 1 position in the ICC Test bowling rankings for the first time in his career, following a match-winning performance against Bangladesh. The 36-year-old left-arm pacer claimed 10 wickets in the second Test in Mackay, which concluded with an innings and 51-run victory for Australia on August 26, 2026. Starc took six wickets for 12 runs in the first innings and four for 39 in the second, earning him both the Player of the Match and Player of the Series awards.
