South Africa names squad for Australia ODIs

South Africa has announced a 16-player squad for a three-match One-Day International (ODI) series against Australia, scheduled to take place from September 24 to September 30, 2026. Temba Bavuma will captain the Proteas for the home series, which marks the start of the team's domestic summer season. A notable inclusion in the squad is the return of fast bowler Gerald Coetzee to the ODI setup. Coetzee last featured in the 50-over format during the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup in India in 2023. His recall adds depth to a pace attack that also includes Ottneil Baartman, Kwena Maphaka, Lungi Ngidi, and all-rounders Corbin Bosch and Marco Jansen.
