South Africa leads Namibia 2-0 in ODI series ahead of final match

South Africa has secured the three-match ODI series against Namibia with a commanding 2-0 lead, heading into the final match on Sunday. The Proteas won the first match by 99 runs via the DLS method and followed up with a dominant 157-run victory in the second ODI. The series has been highlighted by standout batting performances from South Africa's young players. Jordan Hermann made a spectacular ODI debut in the first match, scoring 150 runs. He has accumulated 170 runs in two innings. Connor Esterhuizen followed with a maiden ODI century in the second match, scoring 119 off 110 balls to earn Player of the Match honors. Tony de Zorzi has also been consistent, scoring 72 and 79 in the two matches. In the second ODI, South Africa posted 335 for 9 in 50 overs after choosing to bat first. Namibia was bowled out for 178 in 41.5 overs in reply. Captain Gerhard Erasmus was the standout for Namibia, scoring 68 off 84 balls. For South Africa, bowlers Duan Jansen and Eathan Bosch took four and three wickets respectively. The third and final ODI is scheduled for Sunday, September 13, at the Namibia Cricket Ground in Windhoek.
