Soundgarden to perform at Seahawks NFL season opener halftime show

Soundgarden will make a rare live appearance on September 9, 2026, performing as the halftime act for the Seattle Seahawks' NFL season opener against the New England Patriots at Lumen Field in Seattle. The grunge band's surviving members, guitarist Kim Thayil, bassist Ben Shepherd, and drummer Matt Cameron, will be joined by The Pretty Reckless singer Taylor Momsen on vocals and Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready. The performance marks the band's fifth live show since the death of frontman Chris Cornell in May 2017.
