Sony and Lego Unveil Original PlayStation Building Set

Sony and Lego have officially unveiled a new building set that recreates the original PlayStation console, a collaboration announced during a PlayStation State of Play broadcast on September 3, 2026. The 1,911-piece set, designed for adult builders, is a near 1:1 scale replica of the iconic grey console and its first controller, featuring functional elements and hidden dioramas of classic games. The set, identified as product number 72306, measures over 2.5 inches high, 10.5 inches wide, and 7.5 inches deep. It includes a brick-built controller that plugs into the console, along with functional Open and Power buttons. A key feature is the opening lid, which reveals a disc tray. Inside the console, builders can assemble two hidden, buildable dioramas: a miniature track from the 1997 game Gran Turismo and a scene from the 1999 title Ape Escape. These dioramas can be concealed within the console or pulled out for separate display. The collaboration was revealed as part of PlayStation's 30th-anniversary celebrations.
