The sixth season of the Apple TV+ spy thriller "Slow Horses" is set to premiere on September 16, 2026, with early critical reception indicating a record-setting debut. The new season adapts two novels from author Mick Herron's Slough House series into a single six-episode run, a first for the show. Co-executive producer and writer Gaby Chiappe confirmed the adaptation approach, stating that the season draws from the sixth and seventh novels, "Joe Country" and "Slough House." "It's the first time that the show has conflated two of the novels into one season," Chiappe said, adding that this gives the season "a particularly rich and layered quality." The season arrives with a perfect 100% score on the review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, based on early critics' assessments. This sets a record for the highest-rated series with five or more seasons on the Apple TV+ platform.
