Six found in lorry trailer at Rosslare Europort

Six people, including a juvenile, were found inside a lorry trailer at Rosslare Europort in County Wexford on Thursday morning, prompting a Garda investigation into the incident. The discovery was made around 5 a.m. after a distress call was received from one of the individuals inside the container while the vessel was en route to the port. Emergency services, including Gardaí and ambulance crews, searched the ship upon arrival and located five adult men and one male juvenile in the trailer. All six were transported to Wexford General Hospital for medical assessment. Three of the individuals remain in the hospital receiving treatment for non-life-threatening injuries, while the others have been discharged. According to Gardaí, two of the adults have been refused permission to enter the State, and the juvenile is receiving appropriate supports. The Garda National Immigration Bureau is assisting in the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the discovery. A man in his 40s has been arrested in connection with the incident, though his identity, nationality, and the suspected offense have not been released by authorities.
