Six arrested in Bengaluru machete murder of medical shop owner

A 40-year-old medical shop owner was fatally attacked in public on a busy Bengaluru street in what police suspect was a revenge killing linked to an earlier murder. The victim, identified as Suhail, was hacked to death with machetes on Saturday night, August 22, 2026, on Madiwala Main Road. By Tuesday, August 25, 2026, police announced the arrest of six men in connection with the murder. The incident occurred around 9:45 p.m. on Saturday as Suhail was traveling on his motorcycle from Madiwala towards Koramangala. He stopped amid a traffic jam when four assailants on two motorcycles surrounded him and attacked him with machetes.
