Jannik Sinner captured the Italian Open title on Sunday, defeating Casper Ruud 6-4, 6-4 in the final to achieve a historic milestone in front of his home crowd. The victory makes the 24-year-old world No. 1 the first Italian man to win the Rome tournament since Adriano Panatta in 1976.
